Louth GAA would like to extend our thanks and best wishes to our
outgoing Senior Football Manager Peter Fitzpatrick for his positive
contribution to Louth GAA over the course of his three year term. Under
Peter's tenure, Louth enjoyed many great days on the field and his
devotion and loyalty to the Red & White was unwavering. From the
start, his enthusiasm for the role was infectious and we wish him and
his family well in his future endeavours.
We would also like to thank Peter's Management teams over the three years for all of their efforts with the squad.
Louth GAA have now initiated the process to appoint Peter's successor.

A Chairde Gael Go Léir,
We learned of the passing of our dear friend Charlie Mc Allister
last Tuesday morning 17th April 2012. I had known Charlie for a long
time but grew particularly close to him since assuming my current
position as Cathaoirleach.
Initially Charlie told me he had under medical advice been
recommended to give up his role as kit man to the County teams a number
of years ago but he assured us that he would continue to assist in every
way possible.
During the past number of years we have all grown accustomed to
seeing Charlie at least on a weekly basis and he was always in good form
and ready to help out whenever asked.
His sense of humour and constant smile will be sadly missed by us
all in Louth GAA. He was the real definition of a true volunteer who for
this past 30 year has served his County with distinction and pride.
Team managers ,Mentors , Executive members and players have come and
gone since then but the one constant throughout was Charlie.
We will bring Charlie to his final resting place tomorrow where his
beloved club Newtown Blues will oversee his funeral arrangements.
On behalf of all Louth Gaels I would like to take this opportunity
to wish his family, his Club Newtown Blues and the wider GAA family our
sincere condolences on his passing. His likes will not be seen again.
Ar dheis dhea go raibh a h-anam usail.
Pádraig O Conchúir / Padraic O Connor Cathaoirleach / Chairman Coiste Chontae Lú / Louth Co Board. www.louthgaa.ie
